Research Paper Option Now Posted at Turnitin.com and Class Reminders

Don't forget to submit the final draft of your research paper to turnitin.com. I just posted the assignment so if you tried to do so previously and it didn't work, now it should.

Remember next week's class is combined and will meet at the St. Charles campus in the Cultural Center. See the previous blog post for directions. And remember your next set of journals is due next week and all grammar exercises should be finished by then as well.

Oh and FYI Wednesday class - the Tuesday class is asking if you might bring food to bribe them for crashing their night :) Maybe I'll bring some Chex Mix for everyone.

Class Reminder for the Week of August 6, 2008

Hi all. Sorry if you've emailed me since Thursday. My mom's been in the hospital, so I just got back into town today. I should be caught up on email reponses, but let me know if I missed anyone.

Due this week:
Remember to bring two copies of your first draft and your outline - one to turn in with your outline (in a folder) and one to keep for peer review purposes. Get as much done as you can on the draft. This is my only opportunity to give you feedback before you have to turn the paper in.

Submit Your Paper To Turnitin.com

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.

Many of you still need to submit your paper to Turnitin.com before class this Wednesday. I have extended the deadline until then. Be sure to check that you received confirmation your paper was accepted. Some people have their name listed, but no submission.

I will not return your graded research paper until you submit your paper to turnitin.com, so please submit them as soon as possible. If they aren't submitted by Wednesday, I will start deducting points.

Remember this week both classes will meet in the room to the right of the Lindenwood Office at the usual time.

Be sure too bring your journals to turn in. Typed!

Class Reminders and Announcements for the Week of January 21st

Due This Week:
Final version of Short Paper 2 with draft and sketch outline, in a folder. Identify what type of paper you wrote on the first page - Process, Exemplification, or Comparions/Contrast.

Oral Presentation on one of your papers. Remember to include visuals.

The assigned reading.

Turnitin.com
Some of you still have not submitted your papers to Turnitin.com. I have extended the deadline until Wednesday. I am holding Short Paper 1 hostage until you can submit! So if you want your papers back tonight, Monday class, get Short Paper 1 turned in today. You should also have Short Paper 2 submitted as soon as possible.

Don't Forget Our Extra Class in Butler Library Tomorrow Night
You must sign in with me when you arrive, so I can keep track of attendance. We are meeting in Butler Library in the computer room reserved under my name. Last time we entered the main entrance and took the stairs down to the right. Do not confuse Butler Library with Butler Hall - different buildings. Butler Library is off Watson St. Check the Lindenwood Campus map for details. This class will meet as usual from 6 - 10 p.m.

Grammar Exercises:
One more change on the Grammar Exercises. "Word Choice" is now "Clarity" on the Writer's Reference website. So cross out "Word Choice" in your course outline and write in "Clarity" and follow the same instructions/due date.
