Class Announcements: Internet and Turnitin Deadline

My internet is still down. I'm blogging from the Westport site right now, so I may not be able to look at my emails for a few days. I plan to work on the problem tomorrow with my internet provider.

The deadline had expired for submitting papers to Turnitin.com, but I have now extended it for both papers. You may now submit both Short Paper 1 & 2 until April 30.

Some of you have not submitted Short Paper 1 yet. Your grade isn't final until a copy is submitted to Turnitin.com. If you don't submit, points will be deducted from the present grade, so be sure to get it turned in as soon as possible.

Don't Forget Our Extra Class is Tonight

We will meet at Butler Library tonight at 6:00 p.m. - see the April 8th blog entry for a map. Sign in with me when you get there, so I can record your attendance.

Right-Brained or Left-Brained?

Here is the figure I was talking about Wednesday night that shows whether you are mainly left-brained or right-brained. Do you agree with its judgment of you?

Here is another list of characteristics for both right-brained and left-brained people (notice #12 characteristic in the right-brained column? Told you I couldn't spell :) My brain made me do it.

Due This Week - Don't Forget the Sketch Outline!

This week I am collecting Short Paper 1. Put it in a folder that has your name on the front and include the following:

• Any drafts of the paper
• A sketch/informal outline with your thesis and the points you discussed, in order
• The final draft/version of Short Paper 1

You must also submit your paper to Turnitin.com before the class next week. I will not give you back your graded paper until it is submitted. You will need the class number for your night to submit the paper:
